All you have to do is suggest “recycling” and people turn tail and run. It’s just too much trouble to sort, crush, stack and store. But it doesn’t have to be. There are so many ways to make recycling at home really easy. You just have to make the choice, adjust a few habits and easy home recycling will become second nature to you and your family.

With this site we will give you ideas and tips on how you can convert your home to a Green place to live. There are so many things you can do that take very little time but make a huge impact on the environment, for the better. So if you just take a few or all of these ideas and put them into action you will be amazed how good you will feel for doing your part in Going Green.

There will be tips on recycling aluminum, recycling cardboard, recycling newspaper, recycling plastic, recycling paper, recycling kitchen waste and much more.

Easy Ways To Save Money On Your Utility Bills

Change your light bulbs. Compact fluorescent light bulbs take up less power than a conventional light bulb. Changing to compact fluorescent light bulbs is a great way to go green at home. It’s also a nice way to save some money on your electric bill.

Take a shorter shower. This will use lesser hot water and thus save you money on your water or energy bill.

Turn off appliances when you are out of the room. This will lower the amount of electricity you use and thus save you some green on your electric bill.

Unplug things such as phone chargers or electric heaters when you’re not using them. Even when these things aren’t being used they still take in electricity when they are plugged in. Unplugging them will save you some green.

In the winter, keep the oven door open after you have used it. Make sure the oven is turned off before you do this. This is a great way to get some free heat.

Easy Ways To Start Recycling

Subscribe to your home trash collection service’s recycling program. Depending on the company, you may have to pay a small fee for this service, or it may be free. Even if you have to pay a monthly rate for recycling, it is still easier to put your recyclable goods out by the curb once a week than to have to drive to the nearest recycling facility. Some home recycling services even go as far as to reward you monetarily for every pound of material you recycle.

Encourage kids to recycle by giving them all the monetary proceeds from recycling. Some cities pay individuals money per bag of recyclable material. Your children may get on board with the idea of recycling faster if they foresee cash in their immediate future. Give each child in the family a recycling assignment such as aluminum cans, glass, plastic bottles or newspapers.

Place recycling bins next to your garbage can. It is a lot easier to recycle if you have all waste containers in the same area. If a member of your family knows he has to trek to the garage to put his aluminum cans in the bin, he is more likely to try to sneak them into the family garbage can.

Find recycling centers near your house and use them creatively. Many grocery stores have recycling facilities, so you can combine trips to the grocery store with recycling drop-offs. If you have a recycling bin close enough, try walking to it.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLAESE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunally When I was down in Liverpool last holidays I only got 3 little videos much like this one of the older Compaction Systems RecyclePAK on an International ACCO doing Paper & Cardboard. I never found the garbage truck, which is a Richards Compactor ASL Refuse Body on a ISUZU contracted by JJ Richards & Sons ( JJR ).

Im going back for another try this holidays “should be going twice to get Paper & Cardboard collection, Bottles & Containers collection” hopefully with much better results.

The driver was a very friendly and helpfull bloke, the contractor for recycling is Remondis and I believe Liverpool City Council is Remondis last contract for doing anykind of household collection in Sydney. Next year in July I think it is Remondis and JJR contract with Liverpool will come to a close and JJ Richards & Sons will have Liverpools contract yet again for another 10 year. JJR will bring in the famous 3 bin system Waste ( 140MBG collected weeky ), Recycling ( 240MGB collected fortnightly ) and finally Green Waste ( 240MGB collected fortnightly )That also means a whole new fleet of trucks!!!. Properly all on IVECO ACCO’s “Hopefully anyways ;) (yn)”

Anyways hope you enjoy the little bits I got and better luck next time :D
